Attorney Robert F. Dwyer, Jr.
Robert F Dwyer, Jr. received his Political Science B.A. degree from Yale University in 2004. During his time at Yale, he was a Captain of the Varsity Cross Country Team in 2003. After graduating, he entered Albany Law School of Union University earning his J.D. law degree in 2007. During his time there he was President of the Executive Board, Student Bar Association from 2006-2007.
He was admitted to practice before the state courts of Connecticut and New York. Subsequently he has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. He is a member of NY State Bar Association and he is also a past member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.
Attorney Robert Dwyer has been a sole practitioner since 2008. He has a general practice handling criminal matters in G.A. and J.D. courts, family cases, personal injury cases, civil cases, probate matters, foreclosure defense, and real estate. He has completed certification requirements to be a GAL and AMC in Connecticut courts. He also was named a New Leader in the Law in 2014 by the Connecticut Law Tribune.

Attorney Dwyer is the past president of the Litchfield County Bar Association and was named one of Connecticut’s Top Ten under 40 Criminal Defense Attorneys for 2016 by The National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys. In addition, in 2014 he was named as a New Leader of the Law by the CT Law Tribune and most recently named in 2017 one of the 10 Best Attorneys in CT by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys and the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys. He also won this for 2018, 2019 and 2022.
He started his own practice in 2009 and since then he has counseled a broad range of individuals in personal injury litigation, criminal defense, DUI defense, divorce law, family law, foreclosure defense, estate planning, land use & zoning issues, tax appeals, and civil litigation.
